Every village on Santorini reveals a story, and Emporeio where Timedrops Villas are located, has its own unique, authentic story waiting to be told. <\/span>Timedrops Villas is the first of its kind to be founded at the settlement of Emporeio. We are extremely proud to be the first to bring this authentic corner of Santorini into the spotlight.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u03a4imedrops Villas is a complex of traditional luxurious houses, located in the archaeological site of Kastelli in Emporeio. A great effort has been put in preserving the architectural lines of our stone-built houses dating from the late 19th century, with emphasis given to detail and with respect to the traditional, unique techniques of the local craftsmen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Timedrops Villas, occupying the entire eastern side of the Kasteli Hill, promises ideal views of the village and the sea, respecting the unique culture, tradition, and environment of the island. We aim to offer our guests the best accommodation possible, encompassing the unique feel of the island partnered with all modern amenities and comforts, assuring their accommodation will be infused by an intense aroma of each era of Santorini’s past and present. <\/span><\/p>\n

Kasteli is the fortified archaeological site of Emporeio village. It was built on the inland of Santorini during the Venetian occupation. It protected the island\u2019s inhabitants from pirates like the frightful Hayreddin Barbarossa who raided Santorini at 1537. <\/span><\/p>\n

Kasteli is a compact settlement with narrow streets, paths covered with arches, blind alleys and basements, small terraces and courtyards with flowers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nowadays Emporeio village has spread outside the Kasteli towards the sea and offers all the necessary modern conveniences.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are very proud to be located at the heart of south Santorini, where the most interesting sights and beautiful beaches are situated. The village of Emporeio combines the traditional with the modern, offering supermarkets, a bakery, coffee shops, and restaurants only a short walking distance from our villas, as well as a fully functional Medical Centre on 24 hour stand by.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kasteli, however, has remained untouched by commercial activities, being the best preserved and most inhabited castle on the island, and offers only two picturesque traditional cafes.<\/span><\/p>\n
